Palermo. Non una città che urla, ma una città che conta. Tra bar dal neon tremolante, fondazioni “benefiche” e magazzini silenziosi si muovono tre figure: la dottoressa Rizzo, medico legale precisa; il maresciallo Paternò, uomo di pochi gesti; e un ghostwriter chiamato a mettere ordine nei frammenti.
Non inseguono killer, ma decifrano segni minimi: una tazzina spostata, un nastro su un vetro, un badge con un punto argento. Una lingua segreta che regola traffici e silenzi. Capitolo dopo capitolo, il narratore impara questo codice e scopre che comprenderlo significa diventare parte della rivelazione.
Al centro, Tommy: mafioso stanco, non eroe né mostro, ma uomo arrivato troppo tardi alla verità. Il suo pentimento non promette redenzione, solo un inventario preciso di ciò che resta.
“Tommy il pentito” è un noir ipnotico e chirurgico che non spettacolarizza la mafia, ma la riduce alla sua essenza: dettagli, memoria e verità.

Palermo. A city that does not shout, but counts. Amid bars with flickering neon lights, ‘charitable’ foundations and silent warehouses, three figures move: Dr Rizzo, a meticulous forensic pathologist; Marshal Paternò, a man of few gestures; and a ghostwriter called upon to put scattered fragments in order.
They do not pursue killers. Instead, they decipher tiny signs: a displaced coffee cup, a strip of tape on a pane of glass, a badge with a silver dot. A secret language governing illicit dealings and silence. Chapter by chapter, the narrator learns this code and discovers that understanding it means becoming part of the revelation.
At the centre is Tommy: a weary mafioso, neither hero nor monster, but a man who has reached the truth too late. His repentance promises no redemption, only a precise inventory of what remains.
The author presents ‘Tommy il pentito’ as a hypnotic, surgically precise noir that avoids turning the mafia into a spectacle, reducing it to its essence: details, memory and truth.
